Adidas sold NFT in collaboration with Bored Ape Yacht Club for $23.5 million
Adidas earned 5924 ETH (about $23.5 million at the exchange rate at the time of writing) on the sale of non-interchangeable tokens (NFT) in collaboration with the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), GMoney and PunksComic projects within the metaverse.

In total, Adidas has prepared 30,000 non-interchangeable tokens as part of the Into the Metaverse campaign.

At an early stage, 20,000 NFT were sold at 0.2 ETH each. Holders of POAP tokens, POAP gmoney, non-interchangeable BAYC tokens, Mutant Ape Yacht Club or Pixel Wallet could buy them.

During the total sale, Adidas distributed another 9620 NFT at 0.2 ETH. The company has retained the remaining 380 tokens for future events.

During the early stage, the issue of tokens was temporarily suspended because the holders of the NFT Mutant Ape Yacht Club could not participate in it. Adidas has promised to compensate users for commission costs in transactions that could not be completed due to an error.

At the end of November, Adidas announced cooperation with the bitcoin exchange Coinbase. A day earlier, the company published a message according to which it acquired a plot of land from The Sandbox project.

Recall that in December Nike acquired the NFT studio RTFKT, specializing in the creation of collectibles for the metaverse.
