Ray Dalio called Bitcoin "alternative money" and showed interest in NFT

Ray Dalio called Bitcoin
Billionaire Ray Dalio, during a podcast with Lex Friedman, called bitcoin "alternative money" and spoke about his interest in non-interchangeable tokens (NFT).

According to him, serious competition awaits fiat currencies in the coming years.

"Bitcoin will be a part of this competition. There will be a lot of different money, and not only cryptocurrencies," Dalio said.

He is sure that the NFT will also play a role in this race. The billionaire also announced his desire to buy a non-interchangeable token.

Dalio himself prefers gold for storing capital, since interactions with the precious metal are more difficult to track than the movements of bitcoin in the blockchain.

According to the billionaire, the price of the first cryptocurrency will not reach the $ 1 million mark, because then the capitalization of the asset will be $ 20 trillion - twice as much as gold.

Earlier, Dalio called fiat money "garbage" and a problematic asset, and also disclosed investments in Ethereum and called for diversifying the portfolio.

Recall that in December, the billionaire said that bitcoin is an alternative to gold for the younger generation. He also noted that the blockchain revolution is inevitable, but some governments may outlaw it.

In May, Dalio talked about buying bitcoin, as the US dollar is depreciating, creating attractive conditions for investing in cryptocurrency.
